Sports Complex "Peterburgsky" has been hosting "St. Petersburg Open" for a long time. This the only sports arena in the city capable to accommodate three tennis courts (the necessary condition for organizing the ATP tournament).

The major matches take place on the Central court which capasity is 12 000 seats.

The second and the third courts are for other main draw matches, as well as for hosting "St. Petersburg Open Junior", VIP- and Press tournaments.

The surface used for the courts is GreenSet Grand Prix MTC. Dark blue and light blue color scale, which is used at St. Petersburg Open, is considered by ATP to be one of the ingenious scale for the indoor tournaments.


St. Petersburg Open arena is decorated in a united original style and it presents itself not only the arena for courts, but also an intertainment and ixhibition zone for the visitors. There is a special shopping zone, a number of cafes, Tournament Museum and Tournament Photo Gallery at the arena. In the course of the tournament there are special free entertaining facilities for the visitors where they have an opportunity to win an original prize. There is a large TV-screen at the arena, which also gives an opportunity to follow the Tournament matches.

In the course of St. Petersburg Open the arena presents itself the most attarctive point in the city for sports fans, citizens and guests of the city.

There is a special Mass Media corner in the sports complex where the Press Center situates. There is an Internet access and national/international telephone line in the Tournament's Press Center. 252 journalists of 69 media companies received the credentials in 2002.
